After lunch back to your accommodation in Rome.

The Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo are increasingly accessible to visitors. Following the opening to the public of the Barberini Garden and the inauguration, within the Apostolic Palace, of the Museums of the Gallery of the Portraits of the Pontiffs, now the most private and reserved areas of the papal residence can also be admired and enjoyed by pilgrims and tourists. Many of the exclusive places in the Papal Apartment will be revealed to visitors: from the Bedchamber to the Private Chapel, from the Library to the Study, along a rich exhibition itinerary conceived, arranged and managed by the Vatican Museums.

The Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo comprise about 55 hectares (11 more than Vatican City) of which 30 make up a garden while 25 are used for farming. The latter is carried out with full regard for the aesthetics proper to countryside gardening. The entire papal residence enjoys all the privileges of extraterritoriality.

When one visits the pontifical estates or “Villa Pontificia” for the first time, he does not expect to come across the ruins of what is perhaps the most famous villa of ancient Rome, the “Albanum Domitiani”, the magnificent summer residence of the Emperor Domitian (81-96 AD), which once covered roughly 14 kilometres along the Appian Way towards Lake Albano.

Book this meet-up and the CityUnscripted team will contact you within 24 hours and ask you questions about your preferences and interests, so they can match you with the right profile and assign a like-minded Local Roman.

Keeping in mind your personal answers, your local host will put together a bespoke itinerary just for you. Please note that this will be outlined but flexible. Your host will arrange the most convenient meeting place for you. If  you feel like changing direction during the meet-up, or if your local host believes that you'd enjoy a sight or different experience, he/she will suggest and discuss with you changes to the itinerary.

Explore the heart of Italy’s ancient capital and hear tales of myth and legend on this 1.5-hour ghost and mystery walking tour of Rome. When the sun sets, a darker and more mysterious side of the city comes to life. Make your way along winding alleyways and through ancient squares in Rome’s age-old center, and listen as your guide regales you with enthralling historical and supernatural mysteries. Discover highlights such as the Ponte Sisto, Palazzo Farnese and the Castel Sant'Angelo illuminated at night.

Meet your guide beneath the imposing Baroque façade of Sant'Andrea della Valle church as night begins to fall. Then, set off to begin your ghost and mystery walking tour. With thousands of years of ancient history round every corner, Rome is the perfect place to explore the borders between fact and legend.

Head along the Corso Vittorio to the beautiful yet mysterious Campo de' Fiori. This ancient town square has been a vibrant center of commerce and culture since the 13th century, but illuminated under the cover of dusk, it takes on an altogether more sinister feel. Listen as your guide talks of the ghostly goings-on to which the Campo de' Fiori has played host over the centuries.

Wander through the impressive Piazza Farnese, home to city highlights such as the 16th-century Palazzo Farnese — considered by many to be among the most important High Renaissance palaces in Rome. Cross the Tiber River towards the church of Santa Maria dell'Orazione e Morte and admire the elegant Ponte Sisto, beautifully lit against the darkness of night.

Discover the site of the ancient Corte Savella Prison, where late-Renaissance noblewoman Beatrice Cenci was unfairly put to death for her father’s murder in the 16th century. It is said that in early September each year — on the anniversary of her torture and death — her ghost can still be heard vainly appealing for justice to finally be served.

Explore the Via dei Banchi Vecchi and the Via del Banco di Santo Spirito with your guide, and arrive before the imposing Castel Sant’Angelo — commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a private mausoleum from 123 AD. Once a fortress, Papal residence and prison, the Castel Sant’Angelo is shrouded in mystery and legend.

After 1.5 hours exploring the winding alleyways through Rome’s ancient heart, your tour will conclude at Castel Sant'Angelo.

We are proud to present this Classic Concert where, alongside the famous
compositions of Bach and Haendel, Christmas songs of European tradition find
    their legitimate space.
The innocent music of these songs is proposed in a concert role, which uses a

here not as musical poverty, but original and popular songwriting.
Musical themes cross the orchestra and choir, alternating a voice to multiple
elements. If the melodies are left intact, they change the harmonic notes which,
from "classics", become dreamlike and meditative, not forgetting to give the song
